Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actress and singer. The parents of Kristen Bell were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. She was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen developed a talent for the arts at the age of a child. In 1992 she won her first role at an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in advertisements on television and newspapers. Along with taking private lessons, she began her acting career at that time. Bell was on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a part of the drama and music clubs in Shrine Catholic High School. She was the star of Dorothy at her school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Following graduation, Bell relocated in New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she learned about musical theatre. Bell left the school in 2001, and assumed the role of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene has been cut out and only the credits display her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
